2. Penataran Temple, Blitar

This temple, which is considered the largest in East Java, has been standing since the era of the Kediri Kingdom around 1200 AD. This temple consists of various buildings that stretch from northwest to southeast. At the front, two giant statues guard the entrance, while Bale Agung serves as a meeting place for the royal priests. Penataran Temple is located in Penataran Village, Nglegok District, Blitar Regency, and was once proposed as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1995.

3. Jolotundo Temple, Mojokerto

Jolotundo Temple is a bathing place built by King Udayana for his son, King Airlangga. Located at an altitude of around 800 meters above sea level on Bekel Hill, the western slope of Mount Penanggungan, this temple is only 900 meters from the Seloliman Environmental Education Center. The existence of its springs which are believed to be able to cure various diseases makes this temple widely visited by tourists. 5. Jawi Temple, Pasuruan

Jawi Temple is located in Candi Wates Village, Prigen District, Pasuruan. This temple was built on the orders of King Kertanegara, the last king of the Singasari Kingdom. With a height of 24.5 meters, a width of 9.5 meters, and a length of about 14.2 meters, the building is similar to Prambanan Temple in Central Java, with a roof that combines elements of stupas and stacked cubes that taper at the top.

Interestingly, in the construction of this quite famous temple in East Java, two different types of stone were used. At the foot to the temple corridor, black stone is used, while the body of the temple is made of white stone. Its high popularity often attracts many visitors, so be patient when you want to take pictures from various angles of the temple!

6. Jago Temple, Malang

Jago Temple, which was built in the 13th century during the Singasari Kingdom, is made of andesite stone and has an imperfect roof. It is said that the damage to the top of this temple was caused by a lightning strike. This temple is built in the form of a terraced punden, where the size of the building decreases as it rises upwards. Its height is almost 10 meters, with a width of about 14 meters and a length of 24 meters.

The main building is made of red stone with a length of 13.11 meters, a width of 9.58 meters, and a height of 15.58 meters. However, visitors are prohibited from climbing this building because the condition of Jabung Temple is quite fragile.

When visiting Jabung Temple, there is no official rate or entrance ticket. However, you are required to fill in the guest book and report to the officer guarding the location before entering the temple area.
